SEP (SEA) training information
for the introductory period from August 15, 2025, to March 29, 2026
For the first time since 1940, it is possible again to obtain a seaplane – SEP (SEA) – rating in Hungary.
General information:

Location: Lakes and reservoirs of Somogy and Baranya counties or the River Danube – with possible further water surface extensions

Aircraft: HA-SEA Cessna U206F Amphibian

Training content: 3 hours of classroom training, 8-9 hours active flying
Prices:
-
3-day on-site training, 2 nights with high-quality accommodation and meals, and an exam with the Cessna 206 Amphibian aircraft in the above season at a discount of EUR 3800 (VAT-free training). Payment schedule: 33% before the start of the training, the remaining part in two instalments with a 30-day payment deadline, by bank transfer or in cash.

Renting a Cessna 206 Amphibian aircraft with an instructor is discounted this year at EUR 450 net per flight hours.

In case the training requires more than 8 flight hours, the additional flight hours, or with stays exceeding two nights, and drinks other than mineral water are to be paid individually.

Seaplane Introductory and adventure Pleasure Flights
For the first time since 1940, there is the opportunity agaion to try the experience of seaplane flying in Hungary. For pilots interested in retraining and for anyone who would like to get to know experience the fascinating world of seaplane flying better, we are launching a n educational program in cooperation with the Aeropark Aviation Museum, within the framework of which we will introduce the Hungarian seaplane operation to the public during open days starting in 2025.

Location: various natural water surfaces of Hungary, in the form of to be announced previously as announced open days

Aircraft: HA-SEA Cessna U206F Amphibian

Program content: informative presentation on the history of Hungarian seaplane aviation, general introduction of the aircraft, Aeroexpress History T-shirt and baseball cap for each participant, and 20 minutes of active flight (from untying the rope to mooring).

Weight restriction: in addition to the pilot, 3 adults (with an average weight of max. approx. 80 kg), or 2 adults and 2 children (with an average of the children max. approx. 40 kg), or 1 adult and 4 children can be on the aircraft at the same time.
